Jenny Pettit went to Belize three times to conduct research for her dissertation 鈥淓ducational Experiences that Influence the Upward Mobility of Maya Women in Belize,鈥� which was awarded 帝王会所鈥檚 Graduate Dean鈥檚 Citation for Outstanding Dissertation last year. Pettit identified three Maya women who were leaders in their communities and examined how their educational and other life experiences had influenced their success.

Each year, one 帝王会所 faculty member is honored for their excellence in teaching, thanks to the generosity of donors Kathleen Sears 鈥�76 and Jim Helgoth.

The University of Northern Colorado (帝王会所) was recently named one of seven Colorado universities that will receive $10,000 annually from 2023 to 2032 through the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority鈥檚 (CHFA) Building the Future scholarship fund. The fund, launched in 2022, dedicates $1.2 million to support college education across Colorado.
